5 companies declare dividends

Five companies declared dividends, ranging from 1.5% to 11%, in separate filings with the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) on Thursday.

The dividends were declared for the year ended on June 30, 2021, and June 30, 2020.

Golden Son Ltd

With positive earnings, Golden Son recommended a 2.75% cash dividend for its general shareholders.

In a filing with the Dhaka bourse, the company reported consolidated earnings per share (EPS) of Tk0.30 and consolidated net asset value (NAV) per share of Tk20.22 for the year ended on June 30, 2021, against Tk1.05 in the negative and Tk20.03, respectively, for the same period of the previous year.

The annual general meeting (AGM) of the company is scheduled to take place on December 30 this year via a digital platform.

During Thursday’s trade, its closing price was Tk19.9.

Alif Manufacturing Company Ltd

Alif Manufacturing Company recommended a 2% cash dividend for general shareholders for the year ended on June 30, 2021, and another 1.5% cash dividend for the year ended on June 30, 2020.

It also reported EPS of Tk0.4419 and NAV per share of Tk14.18 for the year ended on June 30, 2021, as against Tk0.4797 and Tk13.73, respectively, for the same period of the previous financial year.
