In the outgoing week (October 18-21), shares and unit prices of 31 or 8.20 per cent of the companies participating in the main stock market Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) rose. Investors were most interested in shares of South Bengal Agriculture and Commerce Bank during the week. This information has been known from DSE sources.

It is learned that the closing price of South Bengal Agriculture and Commerce Bank was Tk 19.10 at the end of last week’s trading. At the end of the last working day of the outgoing week, the closing price of its shares stood at Tk 22.20. In other words, the company’s share price has risen by Tk 2.10 or 18.23 percent in a week. With this, South Bengal Agriculture and Commerce Bank topped the DSE’s weekly Topten Gainer list.

Other companies that topped the weekly Topten Gainer list on the DSE include Golden Year at 14.91 per cent, Beximco at 11.75 per cent, Delta Life at 10.30 per cent, NRBC Bank at 9.49 per cent, Sonali Paper at 6.38 per cent and Fortune Suz at 5.53 per cent. , Eastern Insurance rose 3.6 percent, Genex 2.7 percent and United Insurance 2.62 percent.
