Stocks rise in first two hours of trading
The stock market rose in the first two hours of trading today as buoyant investors went for buying stocks.
The DSEX, the benchmark index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), increased 106 points or 1.55 er cent to 6,974 until 11.59 am.
At the DSE, stocks of 332 companies rose, 21 fell and 18 remained the same.
The pharmaceuticals sector is now leading the market.
The Chattogram market is also experiencing a rising trend.
The CASPI, main index of the Chittagong Stock Exchange, rose 225 points, or 1.12 per cent, to 20,323 until the submission of the report.
