The market capitalization has decreased by Tk 19,833 crore
The country’s capital market has been running slowly for some days. At that time all the indicators in the market were declining. This has reduced the transaction and the share and unit prices of most companies. At this time, the market capitalization of the two stock exchanges decreased by 19 thousand 733 crore 23 lakh.
This information was revealed in the weekly review on Saturday (November 7).
According to the data, the market capitalization of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) at the beginning of last week was 5 lakh 83 thousand 498 crore 80 lakh 42 thousand rupees. At the end of the week it stood at 5 lakh 51 thousand 558 crore 12 lakh 37 thousand rupees. The market capitalization of DSE has decreased by Tk 11,940.46 crore in a week.
On the other hand, the market capitalization of the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) at the beginning of last week was 4 lakh 89 thousand 692 crore 39 lakh. On the last day of the week it stood at 4 lakh 61 thousand 699 crore 63 lakh rupees. During the week, the capital at CSE decreased by Tk 6,792.75 crore. During the period under review, the capital of the two stock exchanges or the entire capital market decreased by Tk 19,733.23 crore.
Last week, 7,430 crore 40 lakh 92 thousand rupees was traded on the DSE. The previous week’s transaction was 6 thousand 550 crore 13 lakh 25 thousand rupees. During the period under review, the transaction decreased by 1,119 crore 82 lakh 32 thousand taka or 14.63 percent.
DSE’s main index DSEX fell 155 points to 7,908 points during the week. Among other indices, the Shariah index is down 18 points at 1,472 points and the DSE-30 index is down 36 points at 2,601 points.
Shares and units of 36 companies were traded on the DSE last week. Of these, 90 rose, 280 declined and 16 remained unchanged.
Meanwhile, shares worth Tk 206.61 crore were traded on the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) last week. The previous week’s transaction was 256 crore 98 lakh rupees. Trading on the CSE has declined over the week.
During the week, the overall CSE index CASPI fell 431 points to 20,198 points. Among other indices of CSE, CSCX decreased by 270 points to 12,132 points, CSE-30 index decreased by 447 points to 14,038 points, CSE-50 index decreased by 29 points to 1,505 points.
Shares and units of 340 companies were traded on the CSE last week. Of these, the share price of 8 has increased, 240 has decreased and 13 have remained unchanged.
